When you think of health you usually associate it with doctors and healthy routine. You tend to forget that your body is a complex set of organs and parts. Your body needs to be touched and moved.
Throughout history a massage was used to ease stress in muscles and skin. A massage helps you with easing pain and stress in muscles, joints and skin. Your skin is the bodies larges organ and it requires a lot of work to maintain as it takes damage. This damage comes from the sun, air, movement, pollution and other impacts from the world around us. Your muscles require constant massaging in order to work out the tissues in order for them to grow back as they get destroyed as you use them.
Massage comes from the French massage ‘friction of kneading’, . This, in turn, comes either from the Arabic word مَسَّ massa meaning ‘to touch, feel’, the Portuguese amassar ‘knead’, from the Latin massa meaning ‘mass, dough’, or the Greek verb μάσσω (massō) ‘to handle, touch, to work with the hands, to knead dough’. Just like with anything in life our body needs to be rested and then put into position for the next movement or action.
Our brain requires rest and as such so does our body. With a massage you allow your body to reset itself to its intended condition. Sports professionals use them to achieve their apex condition and as such so should everyone. Your body is what allows you to perform your everyday activities. With a massage you gain that edge that will allow you to perform better in your daily tasks.
Everyone should feel the relaxation of a good massage in order to be able to reset and be ready for another day of challenges and so do you.
